Sugarcraft & Cake Decoration
Maisie Parrish is a self-taught international sugar artist, who travels the world sharing her unique sugarcraft modelling skills with her army of fans. She has created hundreds of sugar characters which have a charming individuality, instantly recognisable and widely acclaimed, making her work an art form of it's own.
She began her modelling career making salt dough figures, and two very successful books followed. Her early clients included the animation giant Walt Disney in Florida. In 1998 Maisie turned to sugarcraft and a whole new career began. There have been six published titles, and her forthcoming book Fun and Cute Character Cakes is eagerly awaited for June 2009 publication,with more in the pipeline.
She continues to produce unique and original designs for you to enjoy, and although widely copied, her fans all agree, there is only one MAISIE PARRISH. Nearer home she runs cake decorating and sugarcraft classes from Stoke on Trent, and students travel thousands of miles to be taught by the QUEEN OF CHARACTER. Sugarcraft School 2009
We are pleased to announce a wonderful 5 day sugarcraft and cake decorating school here in Stoke on Trent. Students will enjoy
professional tuition regarding many aspects of figure modelling for novelty cake decorating.
For this sugarcraft course, we have kept international students in mind, so that they can make the most from their trip to England.
We have students coming from Australia, California, South Africa and Mexico. The next 5 day school is in September 2009.
Our sugarcraft and cake decoration courses are suitable for any level of skill, from beginner to more advanced.
You will find so much to learn and enjoy as we take you right through the process during the week. You will be thrilled to see how clever you can be, no longer a beginner having gained lots of skills and confidence in the art of sugarcraft and cake decoration.
Due to local demand, Maisie has now pencilled in dates for the Stoke on Trent Sugarcrafters Club open to residents of Stoke on Trent.
